Introduction of“Beijing Forest Forum”

      Beijing Forest Forum is originally held in 2006 by Beijing Forestry Society with high reputation and based on two year basis. The purpose is to provide supports and services for capital and national ecological civilization construction with advantages of talents and information in Beijing and international advanced experiences. The outcomes and achievements of the forum can make positive contribution for modernization development of capital forestry industry.

“Beijing Third Forest Forum”

      The 3rd Beijing Forest Forum organized by Beijing Forestry Society is going to be held on 27 to 28 September 2010 in Beijing, China. It proposes to invite 200 internationally denounced experts in low-carbon economy and forestry carbon administration and research to jointly discuss the functions of forest carbon in the low-carbon development, to explore the low-carbon economic potential in forest industry, and to find the feasible operation mechanism of carbon forest. The discussion results and suggestions brought out in this forum will be published in the conference proceedings.

      2010 is the key year for the preparation of the 12th Five- Year National Plan in China. The results of this conference will provide valuable support to policy makers in term of low-carbon economy, ecological protection, and development of green city.

      We invite papers that address any aspects of low-carbon economy and carbon forestry development both from a local or international perspective. Paper submission deadline is 15 August, 2010. Conference registration deadline is 10 September, 2010
